Dion brings in local heavyweight for debate prep

Some people will understand the importance of a seemingly small detail in this ctv.ca story:

According to Liberal insiders, Tim Murphy, Martin's one-time chief of staff, has been playing the role of Harper in the dry runs. Richard Mahoney and Mark Watton, also erstwhile Martin confidants, have played the roles of moderator and NDP Leader Jack Layton respectively.

As much as I like Mark, this is not the case.

Which one was in charge of the notwithstanding clause?

I love clauses in a sentence that do not relate to each other, sinestra.

Thanks for another one to add to the collection.

Edward, correct my English all you like. Doesn't change the fact that CTV is reporting something that's simply not true.

It wasn't about correcting your English it's about not understanding what the heck you meant in the first comment.

Now you've made it clear that, Igather there are actually no people formerly associated with Paul Martin who are involved in debate prep.

Okay.

You got a source for that, other than your pseudonymous self?

Yes, I have very reliable sources. But I won't share them on a public blog. I'm just wondering about CTV's sources...

Fair enough.

You always have to wonder about sources especially with a story like that.

My cryptic comment at the start of the post wasn't intended to allude to anything more than I have a great deal of respect for Mark and his political savvy.

I like Mark a lot too. And I'm glad he's helping KD in the general.
