So where’s the local crew this time?

What was the point of going to Arnold-land, if you didn’t also plan to go to Copenhagen?

After all, New Brunswick is there talking climate change.

Update:  Darrell is on his way to Denmark, too.

Volatile UpdateCharest is going. So is Gord Campbell.

“Steve” Update:  And of course Steve is going carrying an argument backing Alberta that looks suspiciously, conspicuously familiar.

So far, not a peep from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Danny must be busy, what with the House back in session and all.

Still:

Unfortunately, Newfoundland and Labrador is not convinced that the current Federal administration, having ignored our best interests when developing domestic policy, will do any better in representing our best interests when developing foreign policy.

If the current Federal Government is not prepared to represent the best interests of provinces like ours, then we as a province will protect our best interests ourselves.

To wager a guess: the summit in LA was an opportunity to speak to potential customers. No one in Copenhagen will have the patience to entertain the self-aggrandizement of any Canadian premier, including one who has done next to nothing of substance on climate or sustainability issues.

Must be a sign of the Apocalyse when you two are on the same basic track.

If one of the Steves - maybe they are the same - joins in then we know the world is about split open.

Photo Op with Arnie also factored in there too, Liam, I suspect, as did the session chairmanship. But there's no question it was primarily a marketing effort.

Aside from the lack of substantive environmental policy, or the recent shift to line up with Alberta and Harper, he'd also have to get linked up with a whole bunch of Premiers with significantly different policies.

Copenhagen is about something else.

Maybe they'll go at the tail end.
