The budget consultation farce is starting early this year.
Last year, and the year before the farce started in January.
Doesn’t matter: major budget decisions are made before Tom Marshall hits the road.
Fool ‘em once, shame on you.
Fool ‘em twice, shame on them.
So what is it for fool ‘em seven times in a row?

I guess the pre-budget consultation in 2002 with Joan Marie Aylward, doesn't count?
If it did, I guess we would all be fools 8 times in a row.
At least you are consistent in not mentioning anything prior to 2003
Sorry...but I forgot to mention that your close buddy Paul Dicks had a little budget chit chat in a few town halls in 1998.
....in the name of God; how many times have we been fooled !!
Since at least 1998, actually. You are quite right. The budget consultation farce started back.
But since 2003 was supposed to be the start of a New Approach, I figured I'd start the clock from that point.
Thanks for bringing it up though since one of the things I have noted on several occasions is just how much the recently departed Old Man never actually changed much from the crowd immediately before him.
Here's one of the best examples. Thanks for reminding everyone.

Geez Ed, what a surprise...you starting the clock from that point!
Some would say that the New Approach worked...some would even say it worked last night during the byelection.
Some would also say that the Libs are content with their own approach however some people refuse to talk about such things
Thanks for reminding everyone wher you stand...appreciate it!
And some would say Danny will run again in 2011, win a giant majority and then retire on his own terms.
Some people say lots of things. Doesn't mean they are right.
There was no New Approach. That was my point before and thanks for bringing it back. The budget farce consultations are one of a great many things Williams continued despite claims that everything changed on October 22, 2003.
I've been talking about it since 2005 through BP. Funny that you troll here a lot but never seem to read anything.
Anyway, thanks for bringing up yet another example of your tendency to shoot yourself in the rhetorical foot.
Now back to you for another one of your absurd replies. Or perhaps this time it will be another temper tantrum.
Nice response about the byelection by the way. I hope you don't think that this is an absurd question on my part?
Just imagine the "Best Political Blog in Canada" not referncing a byelection that just took place in the province.
Now that's a New Approach!
