Minister to attend play #nlpoli

Telling the world that tourism Derrick Dalley will attend a play – no matter what play it is – would not be considered news and it sure as hell would not be worthy of a full-on media advisory by any organization on the planet, including a benighted, backward-ass dictatorship in a movie starring Richard Dreyfus.

And yet on a Friday afternoon that is exactly what the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador spit out.

The Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation will attend Oil and Water at the St. John’s Arts and Culture Centre this evening (Friday, July 6) at 8:00 p.m. The show has been on tour throughout the province since mid-June and finishes with tonight’s performance.

Who gives a flying frig?

No one.

Well not unless he got a pair of comps or he expensed them.

We might wonder if Derrick is taking a date and if so, who the date is.

in a government that just rammed a bill through the House that will inevitably public access to gigantic swaths of public information on serious subjects, Dalley’s plan to go to the show on a Friday night is considered news worthy.

The Tory back room crowd need not wonder why they are currently sucking bilge-water at the polls. Their comms  - their sense of priorities - are exactly that frigged up.
